Mindful Mondays - Yoga & Mindfulness afterschool-club

Mindful Monday’s - yoga & mindfulness, is a fun and engaging 5 week course for 6-10 year olds, using yoga and mindfulness, with a strong focus on positivity and inclusiveness within the class. We work together as a group as well as individually, and the use of games and themes keep the classes fun and interesting for the children.

A growing body of research has already shown that mindfulness can improve focus, memory, self-esteem, academic performance, and classroom behaviour, and can even reduce anxiety and stress in children. Yoga practice can also:

  • Help with flexibility and balance
  • Reduce stress and anxiety
  • Develop concentration and focus
  • Create a mind-body connection
  • Encourage sense of self and teamwork
  • Create a sense of calm

Each session is 45 minutes long. Please arrive 5 minutes before the session start time.

Ellie is qualified though Children Do Yoga, Yoga Training and the Kids Mindfulness Programme, Youth Mindfulness. She is DBS checked and fully insured. Please contact ellie@kindfulmind.co.uk if you have any queries regarding this after-school club.

Late fees apply:

By completing a booking you agree to a £5.00 late charge if you are late to collect your child by 10 mins or more. If payment becomes due you are expected to settle the fee on collection, or before the next session. Your child will be unable to continue on the course with any late fees outstanding. Thank you.

Child Protection Policy

What kindfulmind will do if we have concerns about a child or young person

In almost all circumstances, we will talk to a child’s parents about any concerns and tell you if these concerns need referral to children’s social care. We will ask your consent to make a referral, but in some circumstances, we may need to make a referral against your wishes. We will only do this if we genuinely believe this is the best way to protect your child.

If we think talking to parents first might in some way increase the risk to the child, we will report our concerns to children’s social care and take advice from them. We will tell the parent that a referral is being made and record this.

Child protection is a very sensitive issue and it raises many questions and a range of strong emotions. Kindfulmind will do everything we can to support the children in our sessions and you can be rest assured that any action we take will always be in the best interests of the child.
